IRISH KIWI POEMS

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE.

While sailing on the ocean feeling the cool wind on my face hearing wooden masks creak gently and sea spray washing decks.

Those sails they look impressive caught by passing gusty winds as the skipper turns towards the land dropping sails up high by men.

I see the sunlight on the water making shapes in crashing waves as we get closer to the land before us I see something gleaming in the bay.

It's a message in a bottle but from where and who we ask as the bottle looks so old as does the paper and the ink.

As we open up the bottle and study the message locked inside its a message to a loved one but the message isn't ours.
