Castaway

You set me adrift

On raging waters

Knowing full well

That I couldn’t swim

But that didn’t bother you

I panicked at first

As the waves crashed

Around me on all sides

Gripped by terror

Vision clouded by fear

Tossing, turning

Out of control…..

Breathe, just breathe

I tell myself

Over and over again

Remember you are surrounded

By a protective shield

As in the womb

Only this time

It’s made of glass

Still your mind and think

Of all that you are made of…..

Emotions, bottled up for so long

They alone, are enough to keep you afloat….

Sadness, anger, fear, loneliness

Hopelessness, rage, was I not enough ness

Can’t understand ness, can’t go on ness,

A fragile mess ……..

The sea won’t be rough for ever

Calmness will come

See , I told you so

There we go …..

Reach deep down inside

There is so much more to you…,

Your courage, your strength

Your resilience

Never giving up ness

Stubbornness

Inner child connected ness

Take her hand

Together we will reach the shore…..

Message for help

Failed to send

But it doesn’t matter now

Beacause we’ve got each other…..
