John O’Donovan

Summer Wind

Summer Wind, breath of God

Embrace me

Let us be lovers

Take me with you

With the souls you have gathered

From the trees, the rocks, the flowers and the bees

Gather me as pollen to your bosom

Summer Wind, take me

To the forest, to the desert

To the mountain with the snow

Summer Wind, take me

With the swift

Take me with the swallow

Take me with the hawk and the sparow

With the eagle soaring in the sky so high

And the Albatross far, far out to sea

Summer Wind, let us be lovers forever

Forever is but a moment

Please share it with me
