John Bennett

Amas

Stolen fingerprints,

Weave eternal time,

Of royal blue,

And regency gold.

Stains on colonial white,

Enmeshing classes,

Emasculating culture,

Domesticated art. Drowning craft.

The emperor stary cloak,

Hangs on bone bleach towers.

Illuminating dark matter,

Of smouldering ebony clouds.

Fermenting visions,

Of crumbling ironic pillars,

a postmodern addiction.
